Client Alert: Abolition of NSW Emergency Services Levy

 


From 1 July 2017, the NSW Emergency Services Levy will no longer be charged on property-based insurance policies and a property levy collected by local councils will be introduced instead. In the transition period, insurers will adopt a general practice of tapering rates.
