The Contango Conundrum

 


Marine insurers are becoming increasingly concerned about the issue of 'Contango' and its potential to affect bulk cargo carrying vessels, most notably oil tankers.

However, it is a term that many in the maritime industry could be excused for never having heard of before, seeing as it is one that is more readily understood in the commodity future markets.
