No County Too Far: Marsh China Helps Students in Yushu County

Distance did not deter Marsh colleagues in China from extending their helping hands to those in need.

The Yushu County of Qinghai Province is tucked away in the interior of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, with an average elevation of 4,500 meters, and only 60 percent of the oxygen content of the plains areas. Situated in this harsh environment, the schools here generally lack sanitary supplies.

Colleagues from Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman donated 560 bottles of hand wash vital for ensuring the students can clean their hands thoroughly to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Apart from the donation, the students were also taught how to properly to wash their hands with soap and water. Marsh’s donations in particular went to the Second Complete Primary School in Zaduo County, Yushu Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

A big thank you to all who contributed!
