Mark Weil
Chief Executive Officer, Marsh UK & Ireland
Mark Weil took up his position as Chief Executive Officer of Marsh’s UK and Ireland region in September 2012, having been previously Head of Financial Services for EMEA at management consultancy Oliver Wyman, also part of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
Mark, an engineering graduate from the University of Cambridge, has 20 years of worldwide consulting experience in financial services. In the UK, he was heavily involved in crisis response, including for issues such as bank ring-fencing, supervisory reform, and reviews of LIBOR.
At Oliver Wyman, Mark helped to establish and build the global Retail Banking Practice, with particular focus on distribution, performance management, and productivity and also established their Public Policy Practice.
In recent years, he has been heavily involved in issues such as conduct risk, competition policy, deposit insurance, and cyber risk.
