As 2020 saw the world gripped by the COVID-19 pandemic, companies in the Middle East and Africa found ways to tackle the crisis head on and strived for continuity across their business activities. Whilst some regions were hit harder than others, almost all businesses had to grapple with issues that affected their survival and ability to meet their customers’ requirements. However, the pandemic is only one challenge, organizations need to also remain vigilant on other risks, a current example being cyber-attacks, where this remains an important concern for risk professionals.
Marsh hopes that this year’s findings in the 2021 MEA Risk Management and Insurance Perception Survey will shed light on the impact of the current global landscape on the risk profiles of businesses within the region as well as highlighting steps that could be taken to build greater resilience.
