Welcome to the New Zealand Police insurance website in conjunction with Marsh Limited.

This site contains a range of information and documents that are pertinent to your Insurance Program as well as links to applications that form part of the Marsh Service Program.

Police, like all organisations, carries the risk of loss or damage to assets, or of incurring liability for third party loss or damage to assets. Some of this exposure can be offset by the purchase of insurances.

The General Manager: Finance, is responsible for the Police’s insurance arrangements. NZ Police retains an external adviser, Marsh, to provide advice, purchase insurance and administer claims. All day to day insurance related queries should be directed to the Police’s brokers Marsh Limited.

Sureplan are contracted to provide vehicle accident management services.

Police staff must report any actual or potential losses as soon as possible, to ensure claims are managed properly and any loss to Police is minimised.

Claims

The claims section details the insurance covers that are in place and the steps that should be taken if either NZ Police or one of its staff suffers a loss which is covered under one of the policies. There are links to claim forms of the people who must be alerted to all instances of loss which may give rise to an insurance claim.
