New regulations putting in place lower caps on sulphur emissions (SOx) will bring challenges to the marine industry.
Recently, the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) announced their commitment to lower the allowed percentage of SOx under the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) on January 1, 2020, which shipowners may find difficult to comply with.
