In these turbulent times, employees’ physical, mental, and financial wellbeing are now under strain while their work-life balance is being put to the test.

MMB’s CEE Regional Wellbeing Survey of HR and business leaders from 105 organizations responding across multiple countries for their business looked at how they are caring for their employees’ health and wellbeing needs.

Biggest concern work-life balance

79% of organizations greatest concern is work-life balance

Focus on financial education and planning

Companies providing financial education and financial planning advice benefits increased from 9% in 2021 to 45% in 2022

Wellbeing aligned to company values and identity

82% of organizations put together their current wellbeing offering based on alignment to company values and identity

Diversity, equity and inclusion rises in importance

Focus on diversity, equity and inclusion plans increased from 31% in 2021 to 49% in 2022

What do these trends mean for plan sponsors in CEE countries?

Understanding these trends will be crucial for employers – helping them to design healthcare plans that meet the needs of a business and its employees.

A significant number of insurers are adding innovative features to medical products, ranging from digital health and self-care tools as ways to provide individuals with better quality care.

What are employers top priorities?

Employers main wellbeing priorities are physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing ahead of financial and social wellbeing. However, with increasing global uncertainty and rising inflation we anticipate a switch in focus to financial resilience and employee support.
