World Energy Council's Christoph Frei talks Global Energy Scenarios
Marsh were delighted that Christoph Frei, Secretary General of the World Energy Council, was able to deliver the keynote speech at our recent National Oil Companies (NOC) Conference in Dubai last month.
Mr. Frei told delegates the current period of “fast energy” is one full of complexity and uncertainty, and drew on information from the WEC’s World Energy Issues Monitor which revealed energy price volatility, global recession, climate frameworks, and access to capital markets to be the biggest issues currently facing the oil and gas industry.
Despite these challenges, Mr. Frei insisted the long-term outlook remains positive for oil and gas, and rubbished suggestions that the demand for energy and fossil fuels is decreasing or flattening out as “simply not true”.
For those unable to make our conference you can now watch this insightful presentation.
