Creating Deal Value in 2022 – Managing IPO risks; enhancing share value

In this video Marsh’s Christian Short explores the risks companies can face throughout this journey and explains how Marsh are supporting clients both pre and post listing.

The number of global initial public offerings reached new highs last year, with over 3,000 new listings announced in 2021 raising in excess of US$600 billion.1 Marsh also saw a number of de-SPAC transactions, particularly in the first quarter of last year. However, these have slowed, primarily due to increased regulatory challenges.

Whilst the desire to list, as a full or partial route to exit, will fluctuate given the broader economic environment, the risk issues associated with the journey from being a private company to a public company will always remain the same.

In this video, part of our Creating Deal Value in 2022 series, Marsh’s Christian Short, UK Private Equity Leader, explores the risks companies can face throughout this journey and explains how Marsh are supporting clients both pre and post listing.
