Marsh Appoints Hendre Horne as South Africa Placement Leader

Johannesburg | March 17, 2022

Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of Hendre Horne National Placement Leader for South Africa, with immediate effect. Based in South Africa, Mr. Horne joins Marsh’s Executive team and reports to Marsh Africa CEO Spiros Fatouros. Mr Horne will be responsible for managing the Marsh South Africa Placement team and developing innovative placement solutions on behalf of clients.

Mr. Horne brings more than 27 years of experience in the insurance industry to the role, most recently as the Executive Head of Guardrisk’s General Insurance Specialist & Financial Lines Division. Throughout his career Mr. Horne has worked in senior roles as both a broker and underwriter, managing self-insurance funds and insurance divisions. He is a former Director of Stalker Hutchison Admiral and a past Non-Executive Director of Sanlam General Insurance in Kenya.
