Meet Tamiya
I’m a TRAC Associate. TRAC (Talent Recruitment Accelerated Careers) is a two-year rotational program designed to offer opportunities to engage with both clients and the insurance markets in Client Management, Client Advisory, or Placement. Being part of the program has allowed me to learn about different practices, various industries, and the many parts of Marsh and how they all flow together. On a day-to-day basis, I am constantly learning, helping solve client problems, and providing assistance to different accounts.
Which of our Marsh shared characters - passionate, human, inquisitive, or enterprising - resonates most with you?
Inquisitive. Being able to ask the people on my team questions has made learning and progressing in my role easier.
What excites you about working at Marsh?
Every day is a new adventure where anything can happen, and figuring out what to do next is part of the excitement.
Tell us something important about your family or background that helped form the person and colleague you are today?
My parents and grandparents left Haiti to come to the US to work for a fresh start and the chance of a better life. My grandparents on my mother's side, may they rest in peace, will forever be a major influence on the person and colleague that I am today. I remember bringing them to my college campus for my orientation and seeing their faces: the astonishment, the joy, and the overall feeling of pride. It is in their honor that I continue to better myself and make the most of every opportunity that I am given.
