Marsh McLennan appoints new international and US and Canada leaders to deliver greater client impact

NEW YORK | February 1, 2023

Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), the world’s leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people, announced today that Flavio Piccolomini and Pat Tomlinson have been named Marsh McLennan International CEO and US and Canada CEO, respectively. They will lead a new collaborative effort to better serve clients and deliver innovative solutions at the intersections of the Company’s four businesses: Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman. 

They will report to Mercer President and CEO Martine Ferland and Marsh President and CEO Martin South and will be responsible for working across businesses to address clients’ increasingly interconnected risk, strategy and people challenges and ensure we are operating efficiently in serving clients.

Mr. Piccolomini was most recently President of Marsh’s International Division, comprising all regions except the US and Canada. He brings 30-plus years of experience in insurance brokerage and risk advisory to his new role. He will be based in London.

Mr. Tomlinson has more than 25 years of experience in professional services. He joined Mercer in 2014 and since then has assumed roles of increasing responsibility guiding Mercer’s Health, Wealth and Career businesses. He most recently served as President of US and Canada, Mercer. He will be based in New York.
