Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance for architects in Hong Kong

Designed exclusively to provide the best benefits to members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA). Tailored to protect your professional practice and project needs.

Why is Professional Indemnity insurance important for architects?

Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance protects your practice by covering legal costs and compensation claims arising from allegations of negligence, errors, or omissions that could lead to financial loss.

In Hong Kong, government standard service contracts as well as many private and non-profit clients require consultants, including architects, to maintain sufficient PI insurance coverage throughout the project and the maintenance period. However, PI insurance can often come with high premiums, complex application processes, limited policy flexibility, and uncertainty around local compliance.

Leveraging our deep market and regulatory expertise, Marsh offers a tailored and affordable scheme for members of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA).

Key benefits of Marsh’s HKIA PI insurance scheme

  • Competitive premiums: Enjoy preferential rates secured through Marsh’s placement capabilities.
  • Streamlined application process: Apply via a guided process to obtain standard coverage over a 12-month period with common expiry dates.
  • Comprehensive coverage: Meet the minimum requirements of major principals and employers in Hong Kong, including government departments and large corporations.
