Maurice Gatto leads Marsh Pacific’s global placement strategy, building on his strong relationships across the business industry to support clients across Risk Management, Corporate, Commercial, Affinity and Public Sector. He is also a member of the Marsh Pacific Executive Committee.

Maurice is passionate about the insurance industry and brings almost 30 years broking and insurance market expertise working to support organisations across different sectors and specialty lines by accessing markets locally and across the globe.

In his previous role, Maurice was Deputy Head of Global Placement, for Marsh Pacific. Prior to this, he was Marsh Pacific’s Chief Broking Officer, where he was responsible for leading the Corporate, Commercial and Affinity Placement functions, Public Sector Property Placements and Portfolio Solutions, with a clear focus on developing new and existing solutions that better cater to the needs of clients across the Pacific region.

His experience prior to Marsh, includes senior roles within Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Australia, where he worked in the national placement team and was responsible for managing all of JLT’s major trading partner relationships at an executive level. Prior to this he was at Willis Australasia for 19 years, where he was the Head of Broking Services responsible for Analytics, Risk Engineering, Placement, Carrier Management and Claims.
