After multiple delays, the World Economic Forum (WEF) brings together global leaders for its Annual Meeting, against one of the most turbulent backdrops in recent history.

At the WEF’s Annual Meeting, also known as Davos, leaders from around the world and across sectors discuss the challenges of the day. This year, war in Ukraine, food insecurity, spiking energy prices, climate change, and biodiversity loss will all be on the agenda. The theme of the meeting is sweeping: History at a Turning Point: Government Policies and Business Strategies.

The world will be watching for concrete action on today’s interconnected environmental, economic, and humanitarian crises.

In this blog series, we’ll be digesting what this means for the insurance sector — the world’s risk managers. Taking a sustainability lens, we’ll cover the key stories on climate, nature, and governance.
