Marsh Germany announces senior leadership appointments

FRANKFURT  |  07. April 2022

Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointments of Mirela Radoncic as Chief Specialty Officer and Jens-Daniel Florian-Jansen as Chief Market Officer, Marsh Germany, effective immediately. Based in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf respectively, they report to Lukas Herrmanns, CEO Marsh Germany and Central & Eastern Europe. Ms. Radoncic and Mr. Florian-Jansen also join Mr. Herrmanns, Chief Commercial Officer Oliver Dobner, and Chief Client Officer Frank Harting as members of Marsh Germany’s management board (Marsh GmbH).

In the newly-created role of Chief Specialty Officer, Ms. Radoncic is responsible for Marsh Germany’s Specialty business, which includes credit specialties, cyber, financial and professional services (FINPRO), private equity and M&A, and energy and power. She is also the first woman to be appointed to the board of Marsh GmbH.

Ms. Radoncic joined Marsh since 2009 and previously led the Strategic Risk Consulting Practice as well as the Corporate & Sales business. In addition to her responsibilities for Marsh Specialty, Ms. Radoncic will continue to lead Marsh Germany’s Risk Management segment, which provides large German industrial companies and in-house brokers of corporate groups with specialist international risk management and insurance consulting services.

As Chief Market Officer, Mr. Florian-Jansen is responsible for the development of Marsh Germany’s placement business, insurer relations, claims, and product development. He also started his career at Marsh in 2009, in Stuttgart, and most recently was Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation, Continental Europe. In this role, Mr. Florian-Jansen oversaw Marsh’s digitalization strategy across the region, focusing on the development and implementation of services and solutions that support clients in managing their risks more efficiently.
