Richard Garside supports the Head of Marsh Specialty in managing operational responsibilities across Cyber, Financial and Professional Services (FINPRO), Credit Specialties, Construction, Energy and Power, Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA), Aviation and Marine practice groups. He also oversees insurer carrier relationships and key partnerships with clients. Richard is a member of the Marsh Pacific Executive Committee.

With more than 20 years at Marsh, Richard brings extensive expertise in Specialty insurance, particularly within the FINPRO division, where he has led teams across Asia and the Pacific region. His deep understanding of client risks, challenges and opportunities enables him to drive growth and deliver tailored solutions that meet complex business needs. Richard’s leadership has been instrumental in expanding the Specialty practice and strengthening its market position.

Prior to this role, Richard served as Head of Financial and Professional Services, where he successfully managed the division’s regional operations and client relationships. His long tenure at Marsh has equipped him with a comprehensive perspective on the evolving insurance landscape and the strategic agility required to support diverse industries.
