As Chief Client Officer for the Commercial division of Marsh Risk New Zealand, Steve champions the voice of our clients. As such, he is responsible for strengthening client relationships, aligning risk and insurance solutions to client needs, and leading client-focused teams.
Steve brings deep practical experience in matching client and insurer expectations to achieve the best commercial outcomes – managing insurance costs while ensuring claims are resolved to a high standard. His hands-on approach to complex risk challenges, including substantial experience responding to the Canterbury earthquakes, means clients benefit from pragmatic claims advocacy and solutions-focused placement strategies. Steve is also a passionate mentor who invests in developing young talent, helping rising professionals achieve their full potential as emerging leaders
Steve has extensive experience across broking and claims management in New Zealand’s commercial insurance market. He joined Marsh in 2016 as the South Island Regional Manager. Prior to this he held senior roles with Willis Towers Watson and IC Frith.
