Tony Ambrose appointed as Global Chairman; Patton Kline to lead US Aviation and Space business
Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), today announced the appointments of Brian Glod as Global Head of Aviation and Space and Tony Ambrose as Global Chairman of Aviation and Space, effective September 1. Based in New York, Mr. Glod will join Marsh’s Global Specialty Executive Committee and report to Andrew George, President of Marsh Specialty. Mr. Ambrose is based in London and will report to Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO, Marsh Specialty, UK and Mr. Glod.
In these roles, Mr. Glod and Mr. Ambrose will be responsible for Marsh’s aviation and space business worldwide and will lead a global team of insurance professionals with deep expertise in rapidly-evolving aviation and space risks. Mr. Glod brings over 35 years of experience to the role and joined Marsh in 1996 from Johnson & Higgins. Mr. Ambrose joined Marsh in 2020 and has over 30 years of experience working in the global aviation insurance sector.
Marsh also announced the appointment of Patton Kline to succeed Mr. Glod as Regional Aviation and Space Practice Leader, US. One of the industry’s foremost experts on aviation and space risks, Mr. Kline will be based in New York and report to Michael Pellegrini, Marsh Specialty Leader for US and Canada, and Mr. Glod. He will assume overall responsibility for Marsh’s fast-growing US aviation and space business. Mr. Kline began his career on Marsh’s graduate program and brings over 21 years of experience working in the aviation and space insurance sector to the role.
