Marsh Risk, a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) and the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced that James Crask has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Supply Chain Practice Leader.
In this role, Mr. Crask is responsible for combining Marsh Risk’s existing supply chain insurance and risk consulting expertise and leveraging advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies, including Marsh’s AI-powered supply chain mapping platform Sentrisk, to deliver the insights, advice, and solutions clients need to build resilience in their global supply chains.
Based in London, Mr. Crask has more than 20 years of experience in providing risk management, resilience, and strategic advisory services across public and private sectors. He joined Marsh Risk in 2018 and has served in various business resilience leadership roles before being named Global Head of Multinational Clients, Risk Consulting, in 2024.
Commenting on the appointment, Martin South, CEO, Marsh Risk, said: “James’ appointment comes at a critical time when organisations face increasingly complex and evolving risks across their supply chains. He is a proven, strategic leader with a keen ability to help organisations anticipate, withstand, and recover from disruptions, and is the ideal person to lead this important role and help our clients build the resilience they need to thrive in an ever-changing, interconnected world.”
Mr. Crask added: “Organisations today face an unprecedented supply chain environment. Geoeconomic confrontation, evolving tariff policies, and regulatory changes make it more difficult than ever to manage and mitigate risks effectively. The Marsh team has the capability to provide clients with the insights and solutions they need to grow in these challenging times.”
