10:35-11:05	Reinsurance: Its relevance, influence, and challenges	Insurance is about protection, primarily through the sharing of risk. Reinsurance is an extension of this, but often with a greater focus on the largest risks (and claims). In this session we will discuss the value of reinsurance and why it is an important source of risk capital to the aviation industry. We will consider how a large claim moves through the various risk carriers, from policyholder to insurer, reinsurer and then retrocession markets. We will conclude with the key topics challenging the market and a look to the future.
