Congratulations to our 2024 Break out Award Winners

Business Insurance’s Break Out Awards program honors 40 top professionals who have been in the industry less than 15 years and are on track to be the next leaders in the risk management and property/casualty insurance field. Marsh is pleased to share that Sebastian Hennessy and Kendall Petykiewicz were named to this year’s esteemed list for their leadership and professional skills.

Sebastian Hennessy, Vice President, Placement Specialist at Marsh

Sebastian Hennessy joined Marsh’s Qualified Solutions Group in 2018 as part of its Umbrella/Excess Team and was an instant contributor to the overall team dynamic and success. As a Placement Specialist, Mr. Hennessy has the unique opportunity to service not only the internal Marsh client teams in which he is working with but the actual clients as well. Since joining, Mr. Hennessy’s overall book size has grown over 55%, initially starting around 180 transactions, to now up over 280 transactions a year. Mr. Hennessy is also currently leading the artificial intelligence (AI) initiative for the Marsh middle market Umbrella/Excess team. In this important role, he participates in various testing of different AI tools, including LenAI, and how they can help optimize and enhance Marsh’s day-to-day operations and support the delivery of exceptional client service. He is based in New York, NY.

Kendall Petykiewicz, Senior Vice President, Client Executive & Central Zone Team Lead at Marsh

Kendall Petykiewicz began her career at Marsh in 2015 as a member of the post-graduate rotational program and has become one of the youngest client executives in the more complex large account space. Ms. Petykiewicz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a BA in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. As a Client Executive, Ms. Petykiewicz manages a considerable book of business, which includes several Fortune 500 clients. In her role, Ms. Petykiewicz assists her clients by developing custom risk management solutions and strategies, successfully completing marketing initiatives, delivering a wide variety of services geared to each customer by engaging various business units and practices within Marsh McLennan, while maintaining effective and productive business relationships. In 2023, Ms. Petykiewicz was a recipient of Marsh’s CEO Award, which distinguishes Marsh colleagues who have exhibited exceptional client service and have improved the business financially and operationally. She is based in Chicago, IL.

In addition to Mr. Hennessy and Ms. Petykiewicz, Megan Bennett, Senior Vice President at International Catastrophe Insurance Managers LLC, and Susan Jock, Senior Account Consultant, Business Insurance at Marsh McLennan Agency, also were named Break out Award winners.
