David Wigley leads the growth strategy for Marsh’s New Zealand business, driving strategic and operational initiatives to foster client relationships and new partnerships. He also sits on the Marsh New Zealand Executive Committee.

With a career spanning more than 20 years, and a background that combines professional sports with business development and corporate executive roles, David’s broad skillset and leadership are  highly valued in a competitive industry experiencing fast-paced technological disruption.

After joining Marsh in 2019, David became Senior Vice President of the UK’s Risk Management division, where he was responsible for overseeing sales and new business. In 2024, he moved to New Zealand, where he now assumes his current role as National Growth Leader. Prior to Marsh, David held a range of senior executive roles for various businesses including the multinational risk company Willis Towers Watson, where he led the company’s high net worth client strategy.

From 2001 to 2012, David led a successful career as a professional cricket player, consultant and coach in the UK.

David currently lives and works in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau.
