Jon Griffiths leads the insurance placement strategy and operations for the Marsh New Zealand Global Placement division, guiding teams to find and place the most effective insurance and risk management solutions for Marsh’s clients. Jon also sits on the Marsh New Zealand Executive Committee.

Jon’s leadership in the global placement space and expertise in the power and energy sector is highly regarded by both his peers and clients. With a career spanning almost 30 years, Jon has travelled to the UK, North America, Singapore and Australia in order to source and place some of Marsh’s most complex insurance programs for our largest corporate clients. As a champion for the industry, he has successfully helped inform government policy around financial assurance requirements for offshore exploration and production companies within New Zealand. As a leader, he is passionate about supporting local talent and building a positive and thriving workplace culture built on respect.

Jon has been with Marsh since 2006, first as a Senior Risk Advisor and Principal, before moving into executive positions as Head of Corporate, and then Head of Power and Energy. Prior to Marsh, Jon started his career in broking working for Aon and Lockton.

Jon lives and works in Wellington, Te Whanganui-a-Tara.
