Who we are

Marsh’s team of specialists, recruited from the global aviation industry, understand the technical challenges you face in your day-to-day aviation operations. Our structure is an extension of your risk and insurance team, a real partner, not simply an outsourced service provider.

What we do

Operating in the aviation industry has inherent risks that can extend beyond traditional insurance risk management considerations. They require specialized, highly-technical expertise.

We focus on delivering industry-specific insights from a safety and governance perspective. From the flight deck to below wing and encompassing all ground operations, we support you in staying ahead of risk, building resilience, and capitalizing on new opportunities. Our team of safety managers, risk managers, operations managers, and active pilots know how to approach risk from your perspective.

Risk before insurance

Together, we identify your requirements and tailor a “best for you” advisory service that meets your needs. We can help determine your risk exposures, develop risk mitigation programs, enhance risk resilience, and drive insurance negotiations.

With embedded operational advisory capabilities that complement our insurance broking activities, we offer a wide range of risk transfer solutions, including:

Proactive operational surveys (for example, RampSafe)
  • Best-practice risk management in the ramp environment to reduce ramp-side losses.
  • Developing risk management observation checklists for use in the ramp environment.
  • Line side observations across key locations, as informed by incident and claims data.
Fatigue risk management
  • Evaluating how you currently manage fatigue risk and providing a bespoke project plan to enable improvement.
  • Supporting you to implement and maintain a fatigue risk management system (FRMS), including training, measurement of fatigue, risk management, and assurance.
  • Assisting with regulatory applications to operate outside of flight time limitations, by demonstrating an equivalent level of safety in a safety case.

Releasing the value of bursaries

We also support in identifying how a risk management allowance (bursary) from an insurer could be used to support safety and/or risk initiatives within your organization. Speak to our team today to find out more.
