David J. Liston 

US Sales Leader


David J. Liston is Marsh’s US Sales and Marketing Leader with responsibility for business development, marketing, and communication. He is a member of the Marsh US Executive Committee and the US Senior Leadership Team.


During his 25 year tenure with Marsh, Mr. Liston assumed a variety of client-facing and leadership roles.  His experience includes procurement, management, and team oversight of complex national and global risk management clients.  His leadership responsibilities include recruiting and building teams, setting and executing evolving strategies, delivering financial plan results, leading diverse teams in multiple geographies, and delivering differentiated value to Marsh clients.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Liston was the New York Metro Partnership Leader, a position he held for four years, in which he was responsible for the overall operations and P&L for Marsh businesses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Prior to that, he held roles as the New York office head and Global Risk Management leader as well as the Seattle office head. He began his career at Marsh in 1990 in Marsh’s Florida offices, where he served in a variety of production, client executive, middle market and sales leadership roles.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, with dual majors in risk management/insurance and marketing.
