Meet Kagiso

I am a client executive. Our team provides risk advisory and insurance broking services to clients in the construction and real estate sector within and beyond the borders of South Africa.

I started with Marsh as a graduate trainee in the Construction Specialty division. During my five years at Marsh, I’ve been promoted to technical broker and am now a client executive.

How does a hybrid work environment support you in doing your work?

I enjoy learning, and collaboration technology makes continuous learning possible. Having more control in structuring and shaping my workday has contributed immensely to my mental well-being. There is no pressure to beat the traffic to get to and from the office. As a result, I am more productive. I have found the time to practice healthier habits, like walking more and preparing healthy meals. It is surprising how much time was spent commuting and how much one can get done with that time, both personally and professionally.

What do you do to make others feel included?

I am the chairperson of Marsh Africa PRIDE colleague resource group (CRG), which is part of our company’s global resource group network. The Marsh Africa PRIDE CRG promotes and celebrates diversity, promotes awareness of LGBTQ+ issues in the workplace, and aims to ensure LGBTQ+ colleagues feel seen and included. We work to create a safe and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people in Marsh Africa and foster a better place to work for all.

Celebrating Pride Month

Join us in celebrating Pride Month. At Marsh, we believe that inclusion, diversity, and belonging are core to our purpose of protecting and promoting possibility.
