Bangkok, 11 April, 2022 – Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of Derek Heng as CEO, Marsh Thailand, effective 1 June. Mr. Heng will be based in Bangkok and report to James Addington-Smith, CEO, South Asia. He succeeds Simon Cooling, who will relocate to Australia and provide risk management counsel to clients of Marsh Australia in his new role.
Mr. Heng joined Marsh in 2015, and began his time with Marsh Thailand in 2020 as Chief Integration Officer for the integration of Marsh and JLT. He is currently the General Manager of Marsh Thailand, responsible for leading business growth functions. In his new role, Mr. Heng will focus on delivering insight-driven risk advisory services and innovative solutions that our clients need to build greater risk resilience, while continuing to deliver strong financial results for the country.
Commenting on Mr. Heng’s appointment, Mr. Addington-Smith said: “Having served as both Chief Integration Officer and General Manager at Marsh Thailand, Derek has proven track record in delivering excellent results for clients.
