Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, announced today the appointment of Stephen Horstkamp as US Chemical Practice Leader. In this role, effective July 1, Mr. Horstkamp is responsible for leading Marsh’s dedicated team of more than 100 specialists in delivering best-in-class risk solutions to chemical companies across the US.
Based in Boston, Mr. Horstkamp will report to David Carlson, US Manufacturing and Automotive Practice Leader. Mr. Horstkamp succeeds Mary Russell, who is retiring from the firm.
Mr. Horstkamp brings 25 years of experience working in the chemical sector to the role, having served as a process safety and operations engineer for a large chemical manufacturer and a chemical insurance underwriter before joining Marsh’s Chemical Practice in 2019 as a Vice President.
