  2. Cybersecurity and digital risk are also rising concerns as mining operations become more automated and data-driven.
  3. Community & Indigenous Relations: How ESG, social license to operate, and Indigenous partnerships are becoming embedded in risk assessments and underwriting decisions.

Climate policy once seemed to point in a single direction—toward net-zero. Over the past decade, disclosure rules tightened, insurers joined net-zero alliances, and it became more difficult for companies in industries like energy to access financial and insurance markets. But now, those commitments are under pressure. Major insurers have exited the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance, climate-focused pension strategies face legal challenges and regulatory rollbacks are reshaping the landscape. Now, disclosure rules are being challenged, alliances are shifting and political winds are reshaping expectations. This session focuses on strategies for energy and risk professionals to manage and transfer risk amid regulatory uncertainty.
