Organizations today face an era of unprecedented complexity. As examined in this year’s Global Risks Report, a multitude of risks — including geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions, extreme weather, and accelerating technological change — are interconnecting and accelerating uncertainty. Amid these challenges, the global expansion and success of digital infrastructure requires specialized risk management and continuous innovation.

Given these layered challenges, senior leaders need to rethink traditional risk frameworks and adopt holistic, forward-looking approaches that prioritize resilience and strategic risk capital allocation. At the same time, trust is emerging as a strategic advantage that has the ability to absorb shocks, while enabling faster decision-making and stronger collaboration within organizations and with external partners.

Andrew George is President, Specialty, Marsh Risk. Based in London, he has overall responsibility for Marsh Specialty’s global business. Prior to this role, he was Global Head of Marsh’s Energy and Power Practice. He has more than 35 years of leadership experience, having joined Marsh in 1988. In 2004, he was appointed Head of Marsh’s Energy Practice for the Middle East and North Africa region, based in Dubai. He then returned to London in 2008 to become CEO of Marsh’s Energy Practice for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2012, he was appointed Global Chairman of Marsh’s Energy Practice, which was extended in 2015 to become the Energy & Power Practice. In addition to his responsibilities as President, Specialty, Marsh Risk, he is a company-appointed Trustee of the Marsh McLennan UK Pension Fund.

Carolina Klint

Chief Commercial Officer, Europe, Marsh

Carolina Klint is Marsh’s Chief Commercial Officer for Europe, where she leads initiatives to define and implement growth strategies that unlock Marsh’s full potential and support sales enablement, client management, and technology innovation. She is a member of the Marsh Europe Executive Committee. She joined Marsh in 2017 as CEO of Marsh’s Northwest Europe Region and was then appointed Risk Manager Leader for Europe in October 2020. She speaks frequently about risk and resilience, change management, and the importance of inclusive leadership as a keynote speaker, panelist, and guest lecturer.

Reid Sawyer

Managing Director, Head Emerging Risks Group, Marsh

Reid Sawyer is a managing director heading Marsh’s Emerging Risks Group. In his role, he actively advises numerous senior industry leaders, boards, and government leaders with particular emphasis on cyber, geopolitical, and strategic risk issues. Prior to Marsh, he joined JLT in 2015 as senior vice president, after a 22-year career in the US Army.
