Colleague Resource Groups

The Asian Colleague Resource Group (ACRG) works to generate business and revenue opportunities for Marsh and related operating companies through its unique insights and networks in the Asian market. In addition, they promote colleague development and cultivate elite learning leaders through mentorship and other professional enrichment activities.

Partnering with external organizations like the Asia Society and the Chinese American Insurance Society, the Asian Colleague Resource Group collaborates on common interests in community and diversity to raise cultural awareness while representing and supporting communities that Marsh serves.

The Hispanic Organization of Leaders (HOLA) provides a forum for interaction as well as professional and personal growth for the growing high-potential Hispanic population at Marsh, while increasing awareness and engagement through diversity and inclusion. Partnering with organizations such as the Hispanic Achievers on Corporate Responsibility allows HOLA to serve as an ambassador from Marsh within the marketplace and to help build a strategy for our growing workforce in North America and Latin America.

Pride at Marsh partners with the firm in creating an inclusive culture where LGBT colleagues and their allies can not only thrive and be successful, but also feel comfortable in bringing their whole selves to work. With a focus on talent acquisition, cultural transformation, and community engagement, Pride at Marsh is a leader within the industry, recognized as a finalist for Colleague Resource Group of the Year, by Out and Equal Workplace Advocates. In addition, they have helped Marsh achieve a consistent 100% rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index, honoring Marsh as one of the best places to work in the industry for LGBT colleagues.

Pride at Marsh helped to champion equal benefits for domestic partners and transgendered colleagues within the firm, leading the charge on establishing tax equalization for all colleagues. As a leader in the marketplace, Pride at Marsh has built strong relationships between the firm and its clients with HRC, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), Out and Equal, Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), and the UK’s Stonewall Organization. In addition, chapters lead global initiatives within Marsh and externally to aid programming, support, and education to AIDS Foundations, LGBT Homeless Youth, Anti-Bullying Programs, LGBT Family Planning, and PRIDE Month initiatives.

Veterans at Marsh works to support veterans through hiring and mentoring, and to help them apply their unique skills, experience, and knowledge to Marsh’s business. These efforts to build Marsh’s employment presence within the military and veteran community recently culminated in a commitment to hire 500 US veterans over the next three years. Veterans at Marsh builds strong networks of colleagues who understand veterans’ experiences and worldview, help them grow professionally, and assist them in transferring their skills into the business context.

Marsh sees championing the growth, development, and success of our female employees as critical. The Women’s Exchange focuses on internal networking, career development, leadership progression, business development, mentoring, and work/life balance.

The Women’s Exchange offers select programming through their Business to Business series, helping to aid high-potential women in building their relationships with both clients and senior leaders. Chapters of the Women’s Exchange have received press coverage on a global level in People Management, Glass Hammer, and Women in Technology.

Several leaders have been recognized for national and global awards by the YWCA, American Heart Association, Black Achievers in Industry, Consulting Magazine, and Profiles in Diversity. Members are active within the community, serving as sponsors and fundraisers for the American Heart Association’s National “GO RED” campaign and the international “Because I Am A Girl” campaign.

Additionally, members have been invited to participate in women’s conferences and panels in the UK, Singapore, Australia, southern California, New England, Houston, New York City, and Minneapolis. Marsh’s Women’s Exchange also engages with external employee resource groups such as the European Professional Women’s Network (EPWN), The Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW), the Institute of Women’s Excellence (IWE), Women on the Wharf, and Women on Boards.
