Gain insights into the latest risk management trends

Airmic 2026 exceeded our expectations! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Conference in Birmingham.

In today’s fast-changing and interconnected risk environment, businesses must continuously adapt to emerging challenges to stay ahead.

At the Conference, we explored how “perspective drives performance” across industry-specific risks — including AI and digital technology — and how uncertainty can be turned into opportunity.

We were delighted to welcome visitors to the Marsh exhibition stand, where our experts connected with industry peers and discussed how our innovative, data-driven solutions can enhance risk management, strengthen resilience, and support commercial growth.

L2. Marsh Partner Lunch: Growth Through Disruption

What to prioritise when disruption hits — and what to do next

Disruption is no longer an occasional shock — it is the environment organisations must build for. We explored how businesses can still create space for growth when they approach uncertainty deliberately: by continuing to innovate, exploring new markets, digitising operations, and reshaping the workforce, while staying resilient to cyber incidents, geopolitical turbulence, and operational shocks.

Marsh experts shared practical guidance on making confident decisions, protecting performance, and keeping growth plans moving when events shift quickly, and also highlighted key considerations leaders can apply immediately to current scenarios — helping them prepare before the next disruption hits.

IF2. Risk & Geopolitics – Emerging Risk and Uncertainty

In an era of rapid geopolitical change, being unprepared can be one of the greatest risks organisations face. During the session, John White, Head of Growth & Innovation, Risk Consulting, Marsh Risk, and fellow experts explored how horizon scanning and structured scenario planning can help leaders challenge assumptions, uncover blind spots, and strengthen strategic resilience.

IF9: Claims

Helen Haggie, Head of Management Liability, Marsh Risk UK joined a panel of experts to discuss how claims is evolving from a reactive function into a strategic service that delivers value through insight, expertise and proactive support when clients need it most.

When organisations contract insurance, they place their trust in the claims experience. As clearer pathways and greater accessibility continue to shape the function, claims is becoming more visible and increasingly embedded in the client relationship.

With growing complexity driven by new and evolving risks across industries, claims is also taking on a more important role as a source of guidance and resilience. The panel examined how claims can continue to evolve — shaping better outcomes and redefining what clients expect from their claims partners.

Plenary: Bridging the Gulf

At the Airmic Conference, Christopher Coppock, Head of Geopolitical & Economic Risk Analysis, Marsh Credit Specialties, led a timely plenary discussion exploring the implications of the US-Iran deal for global trade and risk strategy.

The session examined how the conflict and recent agreement are influencing geopolitical and economic risks in the region and beyond, what different settlement scenarios could mean for supply chain and counterparty exposures, and the practical actions risk and insurance managers should now consider to strengthen continuity plans.
