Webinar Replay: Where Are We Today? COVID-19 and The Evolution of the PREP Act

Health care delivery continues to concentrate efforts on the many challenges presented by COVID-19 across the organization.

Under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act of 2005 (PREP Act), liability immunity is afforded to “covered persons” who provide “covered countermeasures” to protect against or treat COVID-19. On Thursday, May 6, 2021, Marsh health care leaders, Gisele (Gigi) Norris, DrPH, Managing Director, Marsh’s HealthCare Practice Leader and Ian Matyjewicz, J.D., Senior Vice President, Marsh’s HealthCare Practice discussed recent updates to the liability immunity protections and limitations for people and companies under HHS' original declaration and subsequent advisory opinions.
