Managing Principal, Corporate Practice, Marsh | Auckland, New Zealand

  • Job Title: Managing Principal, Corporate Practice, Marsh
  • Office Location: Auckland, New Zealand
  • Personal Interests and Hobbies: I took up running during lockdown, thanks to a Step-tember competition organised by WellNZ, which my team won! To maintain the healthy competition with colleagues, we just ran Auckland’s Round the Bays.

What is your role at Marsh McLennan?

Managing Principal in the Corporate practice of Marsh. I provide risk and insurance advice to key Risk Management and Corporate clients.

Who is your inspiration?

My parents, for their hard work and perseverance, which is very much an unspoken motto.

What's the best piece of advice someone has ever given you?

Make the most of the opportunities as they arise. I originally declined a job offer in Hong Kong, purely because it appeared too crazy. I ended up spending over 12 years in Asia, visiting amazing places, meeting great friends, and working on exciting ventures.

What is the most important message you want to send out to young women thinking about their careers?

Do not underestimate your abilities, and be curious.

How do you bring your "whole self to work?"

It’s about creating relationships, internally and externally, and helping NZ entities thrive. And the occasional Shrewsbury biscuit.

What excites you about working at Marsh McLennan?

The committed partnership across our various businesses, locally and globally. In one day, I can be on the phone to Singapore, London and Paris, gaining global industry knowledge.
