Mapping the Food and Beverage Supply Chain with Blockchain


FDA-regulated food recalls have increased significantly in the last five years, with most of them driven by undeclared allergens and bacterial contamination. To ensure safety in the food and beverage supply chain, it’s critical that industry participants understand every element of their supply chain and can properly trace the origin of a contamination event back to its source.

Although it’s still an emerging technology, blockchain can help companies map their supply chain and better share information among participants.
