Satoru Hiraga

EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Johnson & Higgins (currently Marsh Broker Japan, Inc.), he worked for a banking institution as a financial analyst in its commercial banking function, becoming experienced in evaluating and analyzing financial conditions. After he joined Marsh, he was stationed in Germany and the U.S., where he attained advanced risk finance and risk consulting skills. When he returned to Japan in 2000, he founded the risk consulting team to provide numerous consulting services including business continuity management for Japanese and foreign corporations. In 2002, he assumed his role as representative director of Marsh Broker Japan, Inc. His current role is director, chairman since 2017.
He was appointed president & CEO of Japan Insurance Brokers Association (JIBA) in 2013. He is also acting the important role for editing “Global Risk Report” published by World Economic Forum into Japanese. In addition, he is a member of Japan Association of Corporate Executives and appointed to a committee of Disaster Prevention Economic Consortium which organized by Cabinet Office since 2017.
