Hiroyuki Hata appointed as President and CEO
Tokyo, 30 September 2026 – Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a leading global professional services firm, today announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of ENEOS Insurance Service Co., Ltd. and ENEOS Material Trading’s insurance agency business in Japan. ENEOS Insurance Service Co., Ltd. will now operate as part of Marsh Japan under the new name, EMIS Insurance Services, Inc. (EMIS).
Building on a heritage that dates to 1957, EMIS will continue to provide insurance-related services to group employees and affiliated companies, delivering a broad range of solutions from personal insurance products, including auto, fire, accident, and medical coverage, to risk consulting services for corporate clients.
Marsh also today announced that Hiroyuki Hata is appointed as President and Representative Director of EMIS, effective immediately. Mr. Hata joined Marsh Japan in 2026 as an Integration Officer and will now lead EMIS’s next phase of growth. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry to the role, spanning marine and aviation insurance, corporate planning, business development, and international leadership roles across Japan, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Before joining Marsh Japan, he held a series of senior leadership positions at Tokio Marine, including assignments in Washington D.C., New York, Düsseldorf, and Singapore, where he led cross-border business development, regional operations, and strategic growth initiatives.
