Understanding and Getting Started With The SAFETY Act

On May 9th 2017, Marsh and Covington and Burling co-hosted a complimentary, one hour webcast “Understanding and Getting Started With The SAFETY Act” to help sports and events companies learn how the SAFETY Act can limit their catastrophic liability exposure.

Speakers included:

  • Ray Biagini, partner Covington and Burling and author of the SAFETY Act
  • Scott Freling, partner Covington and Burling
  • Scot Ferrell, Marsh Risk Consulting

The webcast covered the ins and outs of the act, from starting the certification process to managing and maintaining it. The presentation expanded on our previous webcast, "Managing the Risks Associated with Catastrophic Events in the Sports Industry," and focused on effective methods and tips needed to successfully seek SAFETY Act certification.
