Marsh Named “Broker of the Year” at the 22nd Asia Insurance Industry Awards

Marsh has won the “Broker of the Year” award at the 22nd Asia Insurance Industry Awards (AIIA). The ceremony took place on October 29, 2019, at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Alan Cheah, Chairman, Marsh Asia, received the award, witnessed by more than 500 guests.

The AIIA, organized by Asia Insurance Review, is one of the most established in Asia for the industry. Winners are chosen by a panel of 33 judges, representing a cross-section of the industry, including regional and international market leaders, association heads, and regulators. Award nominees are scored based on submission documents, as well as an interview with the judges. The process is independently audited to ensure fairness and transparency.

The Broker of the Year is awarded for excellence and innovation in broking services offered to clients utilizing methods and channels best suited to clients’ individual needs. The judges noted that “Marsh Asia has provided all-round comprehensive broking services that offer both breadth and depth, while catering to the needs of specific client segments via a tailored approach. The broker’s thought leadership and research capabilities have also benefitted diverse stakeholders in risk and insurance.”
